previous owner's bookplate to ffep, offsetting to eps, else fine; the jacket is lightly worn at tips and edges, rubbed, two 1/2 cm closed tears and two of 1 cm, a bit of sunning to spine, price intact. In a cream and brown color illustrated jacket around a bright brown and gilt cloth book with color pastedown and frontis of Anne as on the jacket, two pages of ads. The last title on the first page of ads is Pollyanna of Magic Valley, first published by Page in 1949 at 2.50 as is this book. Jacket flap mentions the publication: The Charm of Green Gables and the song: When It's Summer in Green Gables, 1941 and 42 respectively, both by Clarence Charters, according to the Library and Archives Canada. A 1949 date for this printing is inferred. The loveliest "Anne" book I have seen. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾". Hard Cover.
