Shelf wear to tips, corners and edges of book. Brown blind stamped cloth with a floral motif, gilt spine titles. A very contentious period in Vermont political history regarding Vermont's participation in the War of 1812 with regards to its Canadian neighbors and political conflicts between Federalists and Democrat-Republican candidates for Governor. The 1812 election between Martin Chittenden (F) and Jonas Galusha (D-R) was the closest in state history requiring for the only time a decision by the legislature amid charges of political chicanery involving vote buying an perjury. The conflict went on into 1813 after the new legislature convened. Scarce. Most items ship with free delivery confirmation, electronic tracking and jacket protectors (generally over $10.00) if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
