Early printing of Walker's Dictionary, unabridged, with ownership inscriptions of Edward D. Barber, postmaster of Middlebury Vt, graduate of Middlebury College, legislator, unsuccessful candidate for Lieutenant-Governor. Another penciled inscription indciates that the dictionary was also owned by Columbus Smith with the dates 1794-1865. The Smith were a family located in nearby salisbury Vermont. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover.
