Town history of Bedford MA the landing place of the Winthrop Fleet ship the Arabella in 1930. In 1775 the Bedford Minutemen carried their flag to the Battle of Concord making it the first American flag and the oldest survivng intact battle flag of the United States. It is a source of great town pride and is on display at the Bedford library.
