Early pressing of the first US release. All lp's cleaned and played. Any sticks and skips will be noted, none noted. Edge wear to the outer sleeve with ringwear along the bottom front only. Inner sleeve advertises 30 and 34 London releases respectively including four of the Stones previous albums. Billboard magazine's Christopher Walsh wrote that "it's brimming with overlooked gems, the band delivering a captivating blend of folky, Beatles-esque pop and tough bluesy rockers." Tom Moon wrote in The Rolling Stone Album Guide (2004) that the album was "lighter and thinner" than Aftermath and, "having belatedly discovered pop melody, Jagger and Richards were suddenly overdosing on the stuff." Jim DeRogatis included Between the Buttons in his 2003 list of the essential psychedelic rock albums. In 2012, the American version of the album was ranked number 357 on Rolling Stone magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. PS 499 catalogue number.
