Light shelf wear to the book and jacket which has a chip to the upper front panel and a closed tear to the rear, previous owner's bookplate else clean and unmarked. First printing, no others noted. A special publication for the Second National Book Fair. The fair, organized by most of the major players in New York publishing, was scheduled for a period of 16 days due to the overwhelming response to the first one the previous year which drew 90,000 (!) people in 14 days.
