Very light shelf wear to the book; much more to the tips, corners and edges of the wrap around jacket which is rubbed with scattered color loss and a faint price stamped to the front panel. The book is clean and unmarked. First printing. The copyright page carries the date 1959 and the statement "In this new story, based on the original of the same title,Mr. Dixon has incorporated the most up-to-date methods used by police and private detectives." Furthermore the flap lists to The Mystery At Devil's Paw first issued in 1959. The rear panel lists the Tom Swift adventures to number 13, 1958's Space Solartron, the rear flap lists the eight books in the Tom Corbett series the last of which The Robot Rocket was published in 1956. The conclusion to be drawn is that this is a first printing of the "new story."
