Printing of 1965. About As New in all respects; the acetate jacket has a half inch loss along the top of the front panel growing to two and half inches at the spine. First printing stated, no others noted. All is clean and unmarked including the notes and recipes section in the rear. In copper and gilt padded cover with a silk ribbon markers. The jacket has protected the gilt decorations very well. They glow. This is the finest copy of this sought after culinary tour-de-force that I have seen. A great collection of unusual recipes, illustrated with full page color photos of the food, the restaurants and the Prices, as well as drawings by Fritz Kredel. It has been said of this book: "Everything about this book screams "gracious dining." The Prices in their kitchen with gleaming copper pots. The reproductions of pages from vintage menus. The word "Luncheon." The two-color pen and ink illustrations. The padded leatherette binding with silk bookmark. This is not to say that the Prices are snobbish. They're cultured. And the scope and level of detail they bring to this book is loving and extraordinary." 4to - over 9" - 12" tall. Hard Cover. s Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible. The Book Shed has a been a member of the Vermont Antiquarian Bookseller's Association since 1997.
