The Culinary Arts Institute can be traced back to an 1860's New York fashion magazine called the Delineator, through which the Butterick Co. sold their sewing patterns. Leonard Davidow, a cook book publisher, purchased the rights to the Delineator's cooking material. He formed the CAI to publish these recipes in cook books and other formats. Ruth Berolzheimer, the second female science graduate of the University of Chicago was hired as editor. Most items ship with free delivery confirmation, electronic tracking and jacket protectors (generally over $10.00) if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
